My Background


I have been working in the digital and project area since I was 18 – that’s over 20 years (quite a bit over 20 but shh). I went from college to work in the Education IT service in the County Council, where I also gained a foundation degree in public sector management, a degree in business and IT and qualified as a PRINCE2 project manager. The main area of my work was the then eGovernment project and developing an online learning resource for schools in the county. From there, I was headhunted to work as an interiors project manager for big builds – we’re not talking wallpaper and curtains, more like science labs and classrooms! I provided FF&E project management, consultancy, design, specification, and implementation to a wide range of clients, including the prestigious Zaha Hadid School in Brixton.
In 2009, I used all my design, IT, project and consultancy skills alongside my love of all things digital and started working with brands on social media. Before long, I was working with a number of clients in a white label capacity managing their social media, developing their strategies, being their online voice and presenting to their advertisers and sponsors. I was involved with one of the first blogger conferences in the UK and have delivered seminars on subjects like Pinterest, Blogging and Getting Ready to Sell for brands like The Design Trust. I was an influencer before influencing became a thing!
As my family grew, I moved away from the blogging / influencing arena and more into social media management, email marketing and paid social. When my youngest started school, I took up an opportunity to work for one of the best ski tour operators in the country – we’re multiple award winners!

Why I do what I do!
I get to focus my time and energy on helping businesses with their social media; a passion that has seen me enhance and expand my skills and knowledge in Facebook Advertising and content marketing. I work with clients in a number of fields from tour operators to psychotherapists and authors… I can work with all brands and sectors because my role is basically data-driven. My job is to understand who your audience is, make sure we’re tracking them properly, to deliver the right content to them at the right time on the best channels.
